Five Years of Innovation and Growth Under Jonas Software
In November 2019, ProviderSoft joined the Jonas Software family under our PYXiS portfolio, marking the start of a transformative journey. Since its founding, ProviderSoft has established itself as a trusted full-services SaaS platform for the early intervention and childhood development market. The company has since expanded its horizons by utilizing all facets of Jonas Software and PYXiS supports. From our excellent team members, processes, and systems to our network of business unit leaders, ProviderSoft has tapped into our resources to drive success.
The Decision to Join Jonas
For Tony Quarella, CEO of ProviderSoft, and his team, the decision to join Jonas Software was about more than just financial considerations. After exploring potential buyers, including a private equity firm, the promise of Jonas’ “ABC’s”—Autonomy, Buy-and-Hold Forever, and Culture of Sharing Best Practices—stood out.
“At first, we were skeptical of how much autonomy we would truly have,” Tony reflects. “But Jonas has delivered on their promise. While we now operate with more structure and data-driven decision-making, we remain masters of our own destiny.”
The buy-and-hold-forever model was also a critical factor in the decision. Unlike other investors who generate returns by flipping businesses, Jonas’ commitment to long-term growth aligned with ProviderSoft’s dedication to its clients and employees.
“Knowing that Jonas wasn’t planning to resell the company in a few years gave us the confidence to focus on the future, not just the next quarterly result”
Post-Acquisition Growth
In the five years since the acquisition, ProviderSoft has seen remarkable growth. The company has expanded its team from 9 to 23 employees and nearly tripled its revenue. This growth stems from a combination of new customer acquisition, pricing adjustments, and product innovation.
“Before joining Jonas, we had not adjusted our pricing since 2008. We were hesitant to make changes, fearing we might lose clients” Tony explains. “With Jonas’s guidance and support, we developed a pricing strategy that better reflected the value we provide. This has provided us with additional revenues to re-invest into our product and services to provide even more value to our clients.”
Product development has also accelerated. Leveraging Jonas’ resources and expertise, ProviderSoft introduced a remote caregiver signature tool—an innovation that quickly became a cornerstone of the company’s product offering.
The Jonas Advantage
One of the most significant benefits of being part of Jonas Software is access to a network of peers across its portfolio. “Before joining Jonas, we were on an island,” Tony says. “Now, we can tap into the experiences of other software companies, learning what works and avoiding common pitfalls.”
These connections extend beyond informal conversations. ProviderSoft’s leadership regularly participates in Jonas-hosted summits, which bring together leaders from across the organization to share best practices. “We always return from these events with more ideas than we have time to implement,” he notes.

Additionally, the data-driven decision-making processes provided by Jonas have been game-changing for ProviderSoft. “Jonas gave us access to financial models and KPIs that allowed us to see how we were performing compared to other companies in the broader Constellation portfolio.” Tony explains. “These insights have helped us identify areas for improvement and make more informed strategic decisions.
Challenges and Cultural Evolution
While the acquisition brought numerous advantages, it also came with challenges. Growing from a small, tight-knit team to a larger organization required adjustments. ProviderSoft had to introduce new processes to maintain connectivity among remote team members.
“The culture of our company has evolved but having access to other Jonas companies that have navigated similar transitions has been invaluable. Their experiences helped us implement solutions that worked for us as a fully remote team.”
Looking Ahead
As ProviderSoft enters its sixth year under Jonas Software, the company’s focus is on scaling leadership capacity to support its rapid growth. “We’ve brought on a Director of Sales and Marketing and are looking to fill additional senior leadership roles,” Tony shares. “Hires like this will allow us to focus more strategically on the long-term vision of the company.”
ProviderSoft’s future is bright, driven by its mission to deliver innovative solutions that empower its clients. With Jonas Software’s unwavering support and the strength of its network, ProviderSoft is well-positioned to achieve its ambitious goals.
“For us, joining Jonas wasn’t just about being acquired; it was about finding a partner for the journey ahead. The past five years have been transformative, and we’re excited to see what the next five will bring.”
