Job Description :

The Senior Developer/Product Manager oversees the software development and technical strategy for company products. This individual represents a key member of the MiGym Management Team and interacts regularly with the senior leadership of the company as well as customers, vendors and prospects. This individual will report directly to the MiGym General Manager.

This is a great opportunity to join us on the ground floor in building out an easy to use, utility heavy app to keep our growing client base of fitness facilities engaged with their members.
 
The ideal fit for this position is passionate and knowledgeable about mobile development. We are in a growth phase, so whoever joins must be a strong self-starter, comfortable with juggling responsibilities and relentless about shipping clean releases. Interest in fitness and fitness technology is a great plus!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Manage and measure the day-to-day activities of the development, QA, documentation and product design teams, including outsourced teams.
  • Help develop a lean mobile testing environment.
  • Consistently meet deadlines and ensure a quality product is being deployed.
  • Provide customer support for issues escalated to Product Development by other departments.
  • Interact with support to assist in troubleshooting and best practices.
  • Serve as ultimate escalation point for internal and external customers for all PD related issues.
  • Develop team members to prepare them for professional growth within the organization.
  • Communicate product direction and strategy to the PD team.
  • Potentially some travel requirements ~10% (tradeshows, company on-sites).
  • Ability to jump in to code when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years experience in software development organization- strongly prefer mobile.
  • 5+ years managing resources in a mobile software development department.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in agile mobile development.
  • Experience in Objective C a plus.
  • Experience with Java a plus.
  • Experience integrating 3rd party frameworks
  • Deep knowledge of UX and UI conventions on mobile platforms.
  • Experience with HealthKit is a plus
  • Experience with mobile payment frameworks is a plus
  • Experience with mobile prototyping tools is a plus
  • Experience with source control systems such as PVCS, SourceSafe or others.
  • Ability to properly prioritize, delegate and deploy department resources to meet business objectives.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills; ability to deal with varied types of people (customers, partner companies, vendors, colleagues, prospects) in a broad range of circumstances.
  • Technical problem solving aptitude and diagnostic ability.
  • Highly professional work practices and ability to motivate others.
