Job Description :

We have created a unique position that leverages your experience in collections and accounts receivable beyond finance and into our Customer Success Team. There are two primary responsibilities for this unique position, each will make up approximately 50% of your week:

  • Collections Coordinator:  Responsible for the efficient and timely collection of debtor balances, maintaining customer contract and revenue information and providing accounts receivable reports. 
  • CRM Data Entry:  Maintenance of our CRM with accurate and useful data for both customer and prospect records within the attractions industry. As a niche industry (with approximately 5,000 prospect records) it’s important we maintain an accurate CRM to enable targeted prospecting by the sales team.
 
This position will report to our Customer Success Manager and be based in our downtown Chicago office.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working closely with the Customer Success Team and under broad direction, undertake the following responsibilities in an autonomous manner:
 
Collections
  • Correspond with customers to discuss and collect payments
  • Document findings in the CRM system for reference
  • Provide special focus on the collection of aged and problematic debt
  • Resolve customer queries by coordinating with the appropriate internal staff to ensure payment is received
  • Allocate cash received and reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Prepare cash and age debtor reports
  • Working alongside Business Unit Managers to help drive KPI targets
  • Identify areas of process improvement within your domain
  • Undertake special projects and ad hoc reporting as requested
 
CRM Data Entry
  • Update customer data, personnel and contact roles
  • Contact prospects from industry lists to gather information to input into CRM
  • Maintain regular contact with our target market lists
  • Watch newsletters, media and industry publications for new prospects and potential businesses and populate the CRM with key data
  • Book appointments and discovery calls for the sales team
  • Upload lists and data-sets purchased and categorize and funnel into internal CRM lists
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have at least 2 years relevant experience in collections, cold calling or accounts receivable
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills
  • Excellent IT skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel
  • Experience in research and gathering data for reporting requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in our key systems would be a huge advantage: o Salesforce o Microsoft Great Plains Flexibility with your schedule to accommodate our international customers
  • Flexibility with traveling to other sites
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys attractions – zoos, museums, waterparks, and tourist operations
