Job Description :

The Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for the deploying, migrating, integrating, customizing, and supporting Member Solutions products and services. The Cloud Operations Engineer will provide technical support to internal and external customers as it relates to the operations of Member Solutions. This position requires the willingness to work varied shifts if needed and includes on call responsibilities.

  • The is a problem solver and technical resource. This position must have IT skills to perform day-to-day functions. Typical work is to monitor systems, address any critical technical issues, both with systems and users. Maintains an expert level of working knowledge on AWS including EC2, RDS, WAF, load balancers, Elastic IPs, etc.Maintains a working knowledge of Networking, VLANs, Windows, Cloud Computing, VMWare, Nessus, LEM, Netwrix, PC troubleshooting, and other IT duties as assigned.
  • The reports directly to the Director of IT.  The operational and technical responsibilities of this position will provide an intense Internal .  The will be highly and will have direct interaction with the managers and users.
  • The is responsible for ensuring that day-to-day IT operations function as expected. Addressing any system issues, as well as user issues. Research cost savings and consolidation of systems when possible. Act as organizational lead for PCI.
  • The will have a and will identify areas in IT that need system improvement and enhancement and work with the Director of IT to address. In addition, the will take a lead on day-to-day operational issues including tickets, patching, antivirus, PCI scanning and other duties as assigned.
The Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the following business critical items are met daily:
  • Perform software deployments, upgrades and provisioning of new installations
  • Monitor systems and services to ensure up-time
  • On Call – rotating on call responsibilities
  • Write and maintain SOP’s for Cloud Operations team
  • Work with the R&D group identifying common recurring Cloud Services issues and how best to resolve issues keeping customer experience as top priority
  • Perform common tasks including data analysis and reporting services for internal and external customer groups
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reviews system logs to ensure all Linux/Windows systems are functioning as expected
  • Timely addresses users’ technical issues
  • Act as a backup for the Systems Engineer
  • Maintain PCI systems addressing any vulnerabilities as they arise
  • Responsible for patching servers and PC’s/Laptops
  • Looks for efficiencies and cost cutting measures
  • Manages VM systems along with Systems Engineer
  • Acts as technical contact for PCI related matters
  • Review all critical systems to ensure full functionality
  • Address action items provided by the Director of IT
  • Ensure timely responses to all IT tickets
  • Work with R&D on new projects requiring IT assistance
  • Take the lead on some new IT initiatives
  • Keep Director of IT updated on new research or requests made by other teams
  • Deal with vendors for demonstrations of new products with a focus on efficiency and cost savings
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of AWS System Engineering experience (PCI environment preferred), Associate degree and 6 years related experience, or 10 years related experience.
  • Experience with advanced, complex networking environments preferred.
  • Experience creating automated scripts and software preferred
  • Experience with Fortinet firewalls preferred
  • Strong understanding of SAAS applications
  • Experience in retrieving, analyzing data from SQL/mySQL
  • Ability to accomplish tasks within established timelines and proactively ensure customers’ expectations are met
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Learn quickly and adapt to changes in technology
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft OS Servers 2008r2 and above
  • Willingness to sign confidentiality agreement and protect trade secrets
  • Exceptional networking skills and knowledge
