Job Description :

We are seeking a high-energy Strategy and Development Associate to join our growing team and report directly to the Fitness Division CEO. The individual in this role will play an instrumental role on a variety of strategic initiatives across the current portfolio and broader market. The ideal candidate has strong finance and modeling skills, is articulate, capable of effectively interacting with all levels in an organization, and has an interest in business operations and management to help inform and drive corporate strategic initiatives.

  • Lead in-depth analyses on trends and forecasts that will assist in operational decision-making across the company
  • Partner with functional and business unit leaders to drive business planning and investment decisions
  • Evaluate expansion strategies and make recommendations to executive teams, helping to define product and pricing strategies
  • Support the fitness group in its M&A research, pursuit and execution activities
  • Build complex financial models to help better understand business trends and to assist in business planning
  • Work on benchmarking projects focused on sharing, implementing and measuring best practices across Jonas companies
  • Lead internal consulting projects with individual companies
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field, CFA, CPA or MBA a plus
  • 2+ years of work experience in investment banking, private equity/venture capital consulting, and or strategic finance at a technology company, preferably in vertical market software.
  • Excellent strategic planning and financial modeling skills - ability to evaluate business opportunities and model their contribution to financial performance
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills - able to develop concise arguments and influence others through data and presentation
  • High degree of technical knowledge - capable of working with large datasets to extract information and tell a story
  • Deep knowledge of finance and accounting principles as well as financial statements and business forecasting
  • Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Curiosity and commitment to personal learning and development
  • Ability to independently translate high level objectives into actionable work plans and strategies
  • Proven business acumen in analyzing businesses to identify and prioritize areas of improvement
  • Conducts interactions with a high level of integrity and trust
The ideal candidate will work from one of our North American offices in Markham, Ontario, Hatboro, PA, Denver, CO, Portland, OR, or Winston-Salem, NC. This position will require travel, primarily in North America.
