Job Description :

The Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for the deploying, migrating, integrating, customizing, and supporting MSI Cloud products and services. Cloud Operations Engineer will provide technical support to internal and external customers as it relates to the operations of MSI Cloud. This position requires the willingness to work varied shifts if needed and includes on call responsibilities.
Cloud Operations Engineer reports to Cloud Operations Manager, the core responsibilities are to:

  • Perform software deployments, upgrades and provisioning of new installations
  • Monitor systems and services to ensure uptime
  • Work Support escalations identifying and resolving issues that can be resolved by Cloud Ops and escalating issues to Development, QA/Product when warranted
  • On Call – rotating on call responsibilities  
  • Write and maintain SOP’s for Cloud Operations team
  • Work with Research and Analysis group identifying common recurring Cloud Services issues and how best to resolve issues keeping customer experience as top priority
  • Perform common tasks including data analysis and reporting services for internal and external customer groups
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Strong understanding of SAAS applications
  • Experience in retrieving, analyzing data from Microsoft SQL Server
  • Ability to accomplish tasks within established timelines and proactively ensure customers’ expectations are met
  • Excellent teamwork, communication (verbal and written)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Learn quickly and adapt to changes in technology
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft OS Servers 2008r2 and above
  • Working knowledge of Hyper-V and virtualization
  • Basic network understanding
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility
