Quality Assurance Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance the Quality Assurance Analyst will design, plan and conduct the testing on software development projects.
Design, plan and conduct the testing of software development projects which will include but not be limited to; enhancements to existing product modules, new product modules, new products, data conversion systems, software installation/upgrade methods and data manipulation tools
Help build, configure and maintain numerous thin client and VM systems in a testing lab environment, which replicate all supported product versions and operating systems
Develop and maintain a high level of product application knowledge, which is essential to testing the entire spectrum of software features and functionality
Conduct functional testing, defect tracking and frequent communications between Development and Quality Assurance, using standard defect tracking software
Conduct periodic regression testing of existing software to ensure continued feature functionality
Maintain existing test scripts as required across product lifecycles
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related technical discipline
1 to 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or development is preferred
Working knowledge of general software Quality Assurance best practices, in particular, understanding of requirements based test planning using HP Quality Center or equivalent as a primary data warehouse for all QA test planning and execution
Working knowledge of web based and .NET GUI application systems
Working knowledge of HP Quick Test Pro or other state of the art automated testing software
Working knowledge of Team Track or other defect tracking software
High level of PC software and hardware knowledge, to facilitate frequent hardware configuration changes and software system setups required to test all covered systems
Excellent communication skills along with a natural desire and ability to thoroughly exercise and test software applications
