Job Description :

POSITION
The Compusource Project Leader/Systems Engineer will be responsible for the successful support of customers in regards to our Ascente Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical software as well as Traverse accounting software.  This will include Call Taking/Dispatching, Job Cost, Mobile processing, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Ledger and Financial Statements.  You will interact with our clients on-site, on-line and over the phone so you must have excellent communication skills, are positive and energetic.  This will also involve working with Microsoft SQL, Windows Operating Systems, networking and hardware.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Help Desk support for the Ascente & Traverse software products, along with SQL, Windows, networking and hardware assistance.
  • Log all support calls and capture relevant details regarding client interactions/services.
  • Help train and mentor new support specialists.
  • Develop knowledge base documents to provide customers with “self help” guidance.
  • Submit software enhancement requests and report bugs.  
  • Provide telephone and onsite consultation to clients needing assistance.
  • Create detailed documentation for software guidelines or system procedures as requested by clients and upper management. 
  • Report data integrity issues to Product and Development teams while capturing all relevant information including screen-shots, replication steps, points-of-failure and possible financial impact to clients’ business operations.
  • Provide outstanding software training support
  • Assist Sales staff with product Demo’s to answer technical questions and highlight feature, functionality of software offerings. 
  • Grow in your knowledge of the software products to the point where you can advance into a Trainer/Implementor position
  • Install and Implement our software products and manage these projects
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience in providing software support
  • Outstanding interpersonal and business communication skills
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
  • Effective time management and schedule adherence skills a must
  • Familiar with general accounting principles, accounting software packages [Open Systems Traverse a plus], reporting and financial reconciliation concepts 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with effective complaint handling & case resolution experience.
  • Able to apply customer service and analytical skills in a software environment. 
  • Good understanding and experience with MS Office Suite and other common desktop software applications.
  • Detailed troubleshooting, problem solving and root-cause analysis skills to promptly resolve client issues.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail with excellent documentation and client follow-up abilities.
  • Ability to travel
