Job Description :

As the Manager of the Product team you will be responsible for building and maintaining the Product Roadmap for each of Jonas Fitness’ software products, Compete and I4. The Product team is also tasked with UX Design, requirements gathering, backlog management, backlog prioritization, and technical documentation. In addition you will work closely with Director of Channel Partnerships to locate, vet out, and implement 3rd party integrators. This position reports directly to the VP of Research & Development with the other department managers as peers and is ideal for a product manager with a technical background. Knowledge of multiple SDLC’s including Agile, RUP, and Waterfall, is required as we utilize a hybrid methodology.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Compete Product Management Duties: 
  • Build and maintain the Compete Product Roadmap with the Product Owner.
  • Assist the Product Owner with documenting technical and non-technical requirements.
  • Oversee the User Testing and designs done by the UX Designer.
  • Assist the Product Owner with sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work with the Development PM and other senior team members to plan releases and release related activities.
  • Answer product related questions for internal teams.
  • Assist in managing of the Voice of the Customer (VOC) process for Compete.
  • Competitive analysis of other club management software products.
  • Study and evaluate the health club, fitness, wellness, and related industries to determine upcoming trends which may threaten or provide opportunities for Compete.
  • Study and evaluate various technologies that might be useful or innovative in managing health clubs.

I4 Product Management Duties: 

 

  • will be the acting Product Owner for I4
  • Build and maintain the I4 Product Roadmap.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years’ experience working in the software development industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business or similar fields required or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in the use of TFS (or similar tool) for backlog management.
  • Experience with SalesForce is a plus.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills to work with all levels of the organization
  • Have good skills working with MS Office.
  • Be able to understand the organization and components of a modern data center.
  • Have an understanding of computer hardware and networking concepts and their implementation.
  • Be able to travel occasionally on business.
  • Strong motivational skills, especially when it comes to leading a team.
