Job Description :

POSITION
As the POS Subject Matter Expert, the Business Analyst will be responsible for interpreting requirements from SMS product management, creating functional specifications, and work with developers and QA personnel for the effective development and implementation of new functionality. This position will also require training and documentation internally to assist key staff in driving successful new product sales and implementations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Excel as the subject matter expert for POS features and functions, modules and related equipment
  • Maintain an understanding of target customer needs as it relates to POS
  • Work with product management and customers/vendors to document business requirements
  • Work with developers and QA on functional specifications and estimation worksheets
  • Coordinate internal training sessions as needed on new features/modules
  • Document software changes and enhancements
  • Learn additional software packages, modules, or operating system platforms as directed.
  • Assist developers and QA with product, integration and/or equipment testing as needed
  • Assist in product development escalation and triage process if needed
  • Consistently meet deadlines and ensure product quality standards are met
  • May be required to participate in travel to conferences and/or customer sites
  • Perform other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated job related experience required.
  • Food & Beverage or POS experience required.
  • Proficiency in desktop applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, and Project) required.
  • Demonstrated experience in documentation and technical writing is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be effective when working independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and capacity to succeed in a fast paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, strong written and effective verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
  • Problem solving aptitude and diagnostic ability.
