Job Description :


The Mid-Level Conversion Specialist will provide conversion support to customers in the health and fitness industry by writing Transact-SQL scripts and stored procedures to convert source data into proprietary Jonas Fitness formats.


  • Write SQL and T-SQL scripts/statements to analyze and translate customer data into Jonas’ SQL database tables
  • Interface directly with the customer to define mapping specifications based on data analysis
  • Create, debug, and execute T-SQL scripts and stored procedures that match data mapping specifications
  • Perform ETL (extract, transform, load) data imports, exports, and modifications
  • Perform quality assurance and database validation on all test and live conversions
  • Work on assigned tasks as a member of a project team as required
  • Review data and database backups
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity. Make decisions on the basis of the information you have, even if that isn't the whole picture.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent
  • Experience working with MS Access or other SQL-query-based database programs
  • Minimum  3 to 7 experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2005 and 2008) and relational databases (will consider less if you can test in with T-SQL)
  • Strong Transact-SQL & MS Data Transformation Services (DTS) knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team/collaborative environment but to also work independently with the customer
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills is a must (client facing position)
  • Prior experience in the health and fitness industry would be an asset
Skills Desired:
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Experience with C# programming
  • Prior database conversion experience
  • Prior data implementation experience
  • Prior experience in the health and fitness industry
