Job Description :

POSITION
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our SpaSoft team who will be responsible for interpreting requirements from product management, creating functional specifications and working with developers and QA personnel to drive the effective development and implementation of new functionality in SpaSoft and related products.

The Business Analyst is also responsible for any development enhancement requests from our current customer base.The successful candidate is passionate about the spa industry and enjoys collaborating with customers and colleagues to renovate and transform spa software.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Document business requirements based on the business problem the user is trying to solve and communicate functional requirements to Product Development and mobile vendor / contractor through formal functional specifications
  • Provide engaging UX solutions throughout the product, this includes producing wireframes and prototypes in conjunction with functional specifications to facilitate product requirements to the development team
  • Work with mobile vendor / contractor to interpret XML messaging from core product and ensure that the vendor can consume the material
  • Obtain specs for various interfaces, interpret and lead certification efforts with vendors and online booking vendor
  • Perform functional testing of beta and released products, logging and addressing issues on a timely basis.
  • Assist in the Product Development department’s escalation and triage process
  • Work with vendor partners on joint projects which can improve SpaSoft’s value proposition
  • Coordinate training sessions on new modules/features for both internal and external customers
  • Document and publish all mobile release notes, user guides and implementation documentation for both internal and external audiences
  • Maintain backlog of customer enhancement requests
  • Obtain and review legal requirement specifications, document how specifications relate to SpaSoft business entities and database fields.
  • Provide functional specifications on development proposals for custom billable work
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years work experience in related field is required.
  • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with SpaSoft or other Spa Software
  • Ability analyze and work with 3rd party technical specifications
  • Ability to communicate spa operations domain requirements to software development team is essential
  • Ability to communicate technical or complex topics to non- technical audiences
  • Ability to communicate business concepts to technical audiences
  • Candidates must possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • One must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Basic understanding of client server architecture and relational databases is an asset
  • Proficiency working in desktop applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, Project) required
  • Experience with XML, SOAP & JSON essential
  • Proficiency in Axure, prototyping tool is an asset- must possess skills in a wire-framing tool
  • Understanding of PCI-DSS and PA-DSS requirements and audits is an asset
