Barry Symons

CEO Jonas Software

Since joining Jonas in late 2007, Barry has led a resurgence in growth by focusing the team on our mission of being the premier supplier of software and services in each of our vertical markets. To accomplish this goal Barry works on ensuring:

  • we deliver an appealing value proposition to our customers
  • we focus on employee development with an aim of having the most talented teams in our industries
  • we create value for shareholders so that Jonas has access to capital to further invest in its people and products and to make strategic acquisitions when the opportunities arise

Prior to joining Jonas, Barry spent 11 years with Constellation Software (Jonas’ parent company). Barry joined Constellation in its infancy and grew with the organization, culminating in his role as CFO, where he helped lead Constellation’s very successful IPO. Outside of his work experience, Barry holds an Honours Business Degree and a Chartered Accountancy Designation, both of which were received with Distinction. Barry also has an active footprint in the community including coaching youth sports and sitting on volunteer committees such as the Club Foundation Board.

Jeffrey MacKinnon

CFO, Jonas Software

As Chief Financial Officer, Jeff works directly with entire senior team, assisting each in driving company performance. Jeff is responsible for all financial, treasury, corporate compliance and administration functions, and works with acquired companies as they transition into the Jonas group. Jeff holds his CPA, CA designation and joined Jonas in 2013. Prior to joining Jonas, Jeff has held positions in senior finance and operations roles in the retail, manufacturing and service industries. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo.

Farley Noble

VP, M&A and Corporate Development, Jonas Software

Farley joined the Jonas team in May of 2010 moving over from another Constellation Software Inc. (‘CSI') operating group and has over 15 years of strategic, operational and M&A experience. Since starting with CSI in November 1999, he has held various senior management positions at corporate head office, two operating groups and most recently has been responsible for acquisitions at Jonas since September 2012. Just prior to his current role at head office, he spent over 2 years in the UK as the CFO for all of Jonas' UK businesses.

Before starting with the CSI group, Farley spent 4 years at KPMG. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from Wilfrid Laurier University. His keen interest in fitness and health was an added attraction when joining Jonas given its robust fitness, club and food service verticals.

Jim Fedigan

President, Jonas Club Software

As President of Jonas Club Software, Jim oversees all departments to ensure that the company:

  • Maintains its place as the number one provider of management software to the Club industry
  • Continues to lead the industry through development of dynamic technology solutions
  • Expands its offering of value added services for the benefit of its clients

With a degree in Accounting, Jim has worked within the Private Club and Technology industries for over 20 years. Throughout this time, Jim has gained a wide range of experience by succeeding in roles as varied as Software Trainer, Director of IT, Vice President Product Management, Vice President Research & Development, and COO, all before being appointed President of Jonas Club Software in 2011.

Steve Cowan

President, Jonas Construction Software

Steve Cowan is President of Jonas Construction Software. Operating under the principle of expanding and developing the Jonas Enterprise and Jonas Premier products, Steve is responsible for developing an efficient company-wide strategy while leading an executive team and maintaining the corporate culture.

Mr. Cowan has been part of the CSI group since 2004, during which time he held the position of Director of Sales Operations of the Jonas Software Club Management Division and more recently the position of Vice President of Online Services, Jonas Software Club Management Web Division. Mr. Cowan is recognized for his expertise in online services and marketing and has been responsible for the launch of several key online initiatives that have significantly influenced the club management industry.

In addition to his industry-specific knowledge and 18 years of software experience, Mr. Cowan holds an Honours BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Matt Otchet

Business Unit Manager

Matt joined Jonas Software through the acquisition of clubsystems group, in February 2005. Over time, Matt has steadily cultivated his expertise in management by working in various capacities at several brands within the Jonas portfolio. Aside from his current role as President and CEO of the Jonas Foodservice division, he also manages the Jonas Continuing Education division, encompassing a total of 5 brands. Matt leads with a mindset that the organization’s greatest assets entail two facets that are crucial to revenue generation and the longevity of success - empowered team members and fanatical customers. In maintaining fluid organizational structures that are both free-thinking and process oriented, Matt’s teams consistently rank with the highest levels of employee and customer satisfaction scores. The groups’ success has earned them several internal Jonas corporate and external market accolades. Last but not least, a valuable portion of Matt’s responsibilities includes surveying opportunities within the vertical markets he oversees for potential new acquisition partners.

Scott Saklad

Business Unit Manager

Scott Saklad has been responsible for acquiring, building and managing a multitude of brands across several vertical markets within the Jonas operating group. His career in the software industry began over 20 years ago at Computrition, which became Jonas’ first foodservice brand in 2007. In 2010, after helping to add and oversee brands in the US, Scott moved to the UK to manage and integrate the acquisition of Gladstone plc, and has since worked on adding a number of brands in new and existing vertical markets to the Jonas group.

As a business unit manager, Scott spends a portion of his time working with his portfolio of businesses to improve their operational success and to help them to do whatever it takes to deliver the highest quality products & services. The rest of his time is spent finding strategic acquisitions that add value and market share to the Jonas group, mainly in the UK and the US. Scott believes that building great companies for the long term is the ultimate goal, and that creating a platform for success comes from continual investment in customers and employee development.


Jeff McKee


Jeffrey came to CENTAMAN Systems with ample experience earned within the Jonas family, having most recently served as CFO/VP Business Development for Jonas Software. Prior to joining Jonas Software in 2004, Jeffrey worked eight years with KPMG in their Information, Communications and Entertainment practice, where he gained extensive experience with technology and gaming companies in both Canada and the United States. Jeffrey is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Business Administration from York University.

Darrell Boxall

Business Unit Manager

Darrell joined Jonas in 2010 as part of the acquisition of Xn Leisure Systems Limited, and retains the position of Managing Director at Xn. Extensive industry knowledge gained from a decade of providing IT solutions to the UK leisure market, Darrell grew Xn Leisure from a struggling business unit under former ownership, into a leading supplier to the sector. Darrell also oversees several other brands as a Business Unit Manager to include our Direct Debit and Processing operation, London & Zurich, as well as having ownership of the UK metals sector. As we continue our targeted acquisitive growth in the UK Darrell is called upon to assist in M&A activity, based on the Company’s stringent criteria and operating metrics.

Fostering a team ethos, Darrell believes in promotion from within wherever possible and encourages a culture of having fun and enjoying what you do.

Steven Pinado

Business Unit Manager

Steve joined Jonas in 2011 with the acquisition of Member Solutions after leading that company through dramatic growth and eventual sale to Jonas as its CEO. He is currently responsible for managing several businesses in our fitness, membership management, and payment processing industry groups as well as leading acquisition activities in our Fitness, Association/Non-Profit, and Payments verticals.

Steve has more than 20 years of experience as an Executive in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, finance, and team leadership. Prior to joining Member Solutions, he held executive positions at Advanta, Electronic Data Systems, Pepsico, and NextCard. He began his career as an investment banker at Salomon Brothers in New York.

Steve received his BS in finance from Morehouse College and earned his MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He is very active in youth sports, coaching an elite youth lacrosse club, boys and girls high school lacrosse, and serving on the board of several youth sports associations.
